As the weekend progressed

Time has shifted into December again… finally… it’s here. This month has to be one of my favorite months of the year. Christmas decoration is up and we’re enjoying that full force.

On Sunday we went to The Hague. We visited the The Hague Historical Museum, an old prison and the Gallery of Prince William V. We thought the weather would work with us and expected a bit of sunshine in the afternoon after a grey morning. Unfortunately instead of sun, we were hit by some showers. I was happy that I left my camera equipment in the car.

The museum were very nice and I learned a lot of new things. I have to say that I was disappointed with the size of the group that were taken on a tour through the prison. The group was as big as 30 people. The gallery was beautiful. It’s amazing to see how some artists can bring expressions to a painting.

After having some tea and hot chocolate in a tea house in the Chinatown district we went back on our way to the car to get back home. Back in Hoorn we decided to pick up pizza. New York Pizza had a great offer on take-away pizza.

All in all it has been an eventful day. On Monday it was back to work for me after the four day weekend. I had a training to give and that went fairly well. I was somewhat disappointed over the evaluation that some trainees gave, but I guess the way I train people is a matter of taste. It’s amazing that it’s Wednesday already. Time flies fast! A week and a half more before my Christmas vacation. I very much look forward to that.
