Lappendag

Today was Lappendag for Hoorn, it’s just a town festival. But I got to experience it somewhat. Mickel had to work today but his Dad took a day off so we went to downtown Hoorn together by bike, it was the first time for both of us. It was very crowded once we got to the main street. It was a bit overwhelming actually hehe. You had shops open and then all these market type items, nothing really new though. I think they love markets in Holland haha. But it was pretty fun and we got some excercise. I don’t think Mickel’s Dad had too much fun lol, he doesn’t like crowds.

Tonight, when Mickel came home, we went out again for bier (beer). In the square in Hoorn they open up the bars there and people get drinks and stand around. I was like, why do we have to stand? Mickel said it was because people might start throwing chairs and tables when they get drunk enough lol. So yeah makes sense. I had a Smirnoff because I don’t like beer, and he had Grolsch, aka ditch water. I tried some of it, it does taste very bad, worse than other beers I think haha. Oh yeah, they also had sweepers out because of the mess. Sorry no pictures though, oh well maybe next year. But I do have a few from this morning.

Now we’re back home while others are out there partying lol. That’s ok, we’re both pretty tired.
