Review Restaurant / Steakhouse Duinoord Den Helder

Published by under Restaurants

On Thursday June 2nd we visited Restaurant / Steakhouse Duinoord Den Helder. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service was excellent. I found the staff motivated and enabled to get the job done. The service was also well organized, which helps in good service. The staff made sure that glasses were kept filled.

Food
The quality of the food was excellent. The customer absolutely gets value for their money and may be even more. The chicken sate we ordered was grilled well, came with more than sufficient sate sauce (customer can actually choose between mild/regular and hot sauce). The side dishes included salad, steamed pears, potatoes and french fries. The customer gets more than enough to get their stomach filled.

Location
The restaurant is a little harder to find. It is situated along the road going from Den Helder down south along the sea. The parking lot is incredible huge. You will find parking space without a problem. Right after your drinks, lunch or dinner (or before) the location offers a nice area to walk around a bit.

Miscellaneous
The restaurant is located in the outskirts of Den Helder. It’s a very pretty place. Inside and out are tastefully decorated in the country style that the customer expects from a steakhouse and grill. Food and drinks is served inside and out and the place is very spacious. The ambiance is really sweet because the restaurant is located in the country. Drinks come in large, medium and small glasses. Since we are American oriented we very much appreciated the big glasses of soft drinks that this steakhouse offers. In short: this restaurant sends the customer serious value for their money. It has exceeded our expectations by far.

Review Tjin’s take out in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Published by under Uncategorized

On Friday November 5th we tried Tjin’s take out. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service was very poor. Food was ordered by 11:45am and delivered by 2:00pm. One order was completely missing and we wanted to have sauce that we didn’t get delivered. The order was placed over fax.

Food
The quality of the food was insufficient. I ordered white rice with chicken. The chicken contained small bones, which was annoying to eat. The order cost me € 7.50 and I found that too much for the quality of food.

Miscellaneous
The order was take out. It was delivered by a guy that clearly wanted to show off with his Mercedes car. I will most definitely never order there again.

Review restaurant Hotel Regina in Prague

Published by under Restaurants

On Friday August 20th we visited this restaurant for dinner. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service was excellent. The waiter that waited our table spoke excellent English. He was very patient and understanding and helped us where possible. The waiter returned frequently to check if everything was as planned. He actually asked if we wanted to get our main course right away or if we would have wanted to wait. The waiter was a real professional.

Food
The quality of the food was stunning. The kitchen chef shows his passion for food through the food on your plate. We were happy to compliment the kitchen chef accordingly with the well done job that was done. The chef is able to hold the food or bring it out right after the starter. The customer absolutely gets value for their money.

Miscellaneous
The restaurant is located in the outskirts of Prague. It’s not one of the prettiest locations, but who needs that when sitting inside? The place is tastefully decorated and the customer will find a very nice ambiance and exclusiveness. All this comes with a price tag, though. The location is not cheap. However, for more western standards the location is not overly expensive, either. The restaurant offers way more than what customers get for the same price in a restaurant downtown Prague.

The restaurant is not easy to reach. The area offers enough parking space for cars, but the customer will have to walk a good bit (about 10-15 minutes) to the nearest metro station Skalka. An alternative (10 minutes) would be line 26 or 22 at the Nad Padesátem stop that would lead downtown Prague.

Review restaurace Molo 22 Prague

Published by under Restaurants

On Thursday August 18th we visited this restaurant for lunch. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service was excellent. The waiter that waited our table spoke excellent English. The food came out really fast. If you are on a half an hour lunch break, this is definitely a place that you can have lunch at within half an hour. We were very happy with the service.

Food
The quality of the food was good. We had noodles with chicken and tomatosauce. It was well cooked and cooked well. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are well enough to last you the hours towards dinner. The customer gets value for their money.

Miscellaneous
The location is stunning inside and out. It’s decorated very beautifully. The furniture matches the rest of the interior. The furniture is also very comfortable. The location offers the possibility to eat outside and has that same nice outfit. The whole thing gives a very peaceful, quiet and yet rich ambiance. The location is easy to reach by car. Prague trams have a stop in the vicinity of the restaurant.

This restaurant is rated 6/5. We believe that this restaurant exceeded our expectations in service, price and ambiance. We happily recommend this restaurant to every Prague visitor or local.

Review Restaurace a sklepni hospudka JINY STAV Prague

Published by under Restaurants

On Wednesday August 18th we visited this restaurant for dinner. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service was excellent. The waiter that waited our table spoke excellent English. At some point we found out that one of the pieces of meat was dry. The waiter suggested us to order a sauce and thus thought with us. The food came out a little slower, but it was well worth the wait.

Food
The quality of the food was good. The pork meat that was ordered was dry, though. We believe it should be exchanged or it should be served with sauce. The rest was well prepared.

Miscellaneous
The location is reached by metro. You will find this location using metro line C and getting off at I.P. Pavlova. Customers are advised not to try to come by car. The restaurant claims to have a garden. It is outside but it doesn’t have the ambition to be a garden. We do believe that the restaurant did their best to make it a garden.

Review Restaurace U Gráffů Prague

Published by under Restaurants

Summary
Don’t bother visiting this restaurant! They should fire the kitchen chef.

On Thursday August 19th we visited this restaurant for dinner. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service was poor. We ordered a starter (Fried bread with meat) and two meat dishes. The main course was brought while Leann was still eating her starter. In this industry and even in the Czech Republic this is a BIG no-no. For me this is enough reason not to visit this restaurant ever again. The waitress that waited on us spoke good English, which was helpful for Leann to order.

Food
The quality of the food was insufficient. The bread used for the toast was extremely hard to cut. It almost needs a chainsaw to cut the bread in pieces. The meat of the main course was overcooked and thus dry. The croquet potatoes that was ordered could not be picked up by sticking a fork in it. That is how hard they were. The vegatables served were fine. The whole experience was way overpriced and did not meet our expectations at all.

Miscellaneous
Management was not available to take my comments. This in itself made a rude impression on me. I felt that the restaurant was not willing to learn from my experience. We have left the comments on a note and added a business card to it.

The location is reached by metro. You will find this location using metro line C and getting off at I.P. Pavlova. Customers are advised not to try to come by car.

Review Korean House Prague

Published by under Restaurants

On Tuesday August 17th we visited this restaurant for dinner. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service here was pretty good. We had to wait a bit to order but other than that the service was good. Our waiter spoke good English as well (along with a bit of Korean) and that helped us since it’s not very common here.

Food
The food was excellent in that it was authentic Korean food, including the side dishes. We enjoyed their kimchi and bulgogi the most. The only thing is we wished to get a bit more food for the price we paid. We needed to pay extra for the rice but the rice was well cooked.

Miscellaneous
The location is reached by metro. You will find this location using metro line C and getting off at I.P. Pavlova. From there you can walk a couple of blocks and on a side street to reach the restaurant. The restaurant had an overall Korean atmosphere to it from the K-pop music playing and the barbecue grills available on the tables. We do recommend this restaurant.

Review Restaurant Stodola in Prague

Published by under Restaurants

On Tuesday August 17th we visited this restaurant for lunch. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service in this restaurant is excellent. The food comes out fast and the staff is very professional. The staff speaks English. This surprised us, because the restaurant is to be found in the outer areas of Prague. English is just not as common out there.

Food
The food was good and cooked very well. We had smažený sýr with tatarská omáčka and french fries. This is a typical Czech dish that I wanted Leann to try. It’s pretty standard and there’s not much that could go wrong with this. Nevertheless, I saw passion in the staff’s behaviour. We plan to revisit this location and see what happens.

Miscellaneous
The location is reached by metro. You will find this location using metro line C and go to Háje. The location holds enough parking space in the surrounding areas, so you would be able to go by car. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. The ambiance goes beyond the concept ‘food’. There’s other things you could do here like reading and so forth.

Review Restaurant U Wébrů in Prague

Published by under Restaurants

On Monday August 16th we visited this restaurant for dinner. This entry is a review of our experience.

Service
The service in this restaurant is excellent. The food comes out fast and the staff is very professional. The staff speaks perfectly English, which surprised us very much. We were very happy with that. The staff is very open minded and easy going. The staff’s attitude contributed to our very positive experience with this restaurant.

Food
The food was excellent and cooked very well. I had a pork steak which was cooked on a lava grill and Leann’s cheeseburger was also nicely grilled. The portion of the food was extremely large. Customers will not leave this place hungry. The prices are somewhat higher than I would have expected from this restaurant and the size of the portions makes up for this. Both steak and cheeseburger were big pieces.

Miscellaneous
The location is reached by tram (Bruselska, line 11 and line 6) or by car (parking is fair in the surrounding area). The restaurant has a nice ambiance. You can sit either inside or outside to have dinner. This place looks very popular as it was very busy.

Review Restaurant Víkarka in Prague

Published by under Restaurants

Restaurant Víkarka is a restaurant next to the Cathedral Sváty Víta. I found it difficult to find this restaurant over Google. I hope that this entry helps. On Monday August 16th we visited this restaurant for lunch. This entry is a review on our visit.

Service
The service in the restaurant is fair. The food comes out fast and the staff is professional in general. However, staff does not always pay 100% attention to their guests. At some point getting service took me a little too long and I decided to find the staff. I found the staff chatting near the kitchen. Upon calling the staff to work, the waiter found it necessary to point out to me that I am on vacation and thus should be at ease. I also find it important to add that the waiter involved felt a need to point out to me that service (tip) was not included in the price and actually made a suggestion himself to add 10% to the bill. These acts made a rude impression on me. On a positive note: the staff speaks English very well and that makes ordering in this language very easy.

Food
The food was excellent. We had Gulash and the meat was very tender and had a nice sauce with it. Dumplings were perfectly cooked. The restaurant’s chef shows his passion for food through the food on your plate. I also would like to add that the Czech Krušovice beer is very good and worth your try. I am not much into dark beer and tried the light beer.

Miscellaneous
The location is reached on foot. Combining a visit to this restaurant with a visit to the Prague Castle grounds is recommended. You can either sit inside or outside the restaurant to have your lunch or dinner. The price for our Gulash was CZK 150. The size of the meal we had, was not enough for a full dinner. Customers are advised to order a three course meal when having this Gulash.
